The World Breastfeeding Week Celebration 2026 was successfully organized from 3rd to 8th August by the Child Health Nursing and OBGY Nursing Departments of the college through various educational, creative, and community-based activities.

Day 1

Inauguration of the Celebration

 

The celebration was inaugurated on 3rd August with the unveiling of the theme, a theme talk, the breastfeeding pledge, and the Commitment Tree Activity, setting the tone for the week-long celebration.

Throughout the Week

Student Activities & Competitions

Students participated enthusiastically in a range of creative and awareness-driven competitions:

Poster Making Competition
Students showcased their creativity and knowledge on breastfeeding promotion and support through original poster designs.
Reel Making Competition
Short-form video content was created to spread awareness about breastfeeding benefits and best practices.
Slogan Competition
Students crafted impactful slogans centered on breastfeeding promotion and maternal-child health.

Day 7 & 8

Public Awareness Campaign

 

The celebration concluded with a Public Awareness Campaign on 7th and 8th August, conducted at both the hospital and the surrounding community, extending the week’s learnings beyond the campus.
